I only have my mini laptop with me, so I can't edit the pictures. But as soon as we get home next week (we're at my dads now) I'll upload a gallery and write all about the trip!

In Kiruna

Now we are at the hotell in Kiruna. We were supposed to stay at the tourist station in Abisko, but their cabins were a lot more expensive that staying at a hotel, and now we get breakfast, our own bathroom and doesn't have to clean in the morning.

Zingo is chewing on a stick and I'm trying to find out how many things I forgot to bring :)

However the weight of my backpack says something else. I don' understand how it can be so heavy. But, the more I eat, the less heavy!

It's raining a little here and I sure hope it will be sunny, or at least no rain, when we start tomorrow. Temp was about 12 degrees today and that is okay with me as long as it's not too windy. But we'll see! Princess is happy as always, that's good.

Finally at dads. Zingo was really happy to see him again! A long day in the car today. Took us almost 12 hours, and after a nice dinner and a long walk we are going straight to bed. Tomorrow we will pack the gear and make sure we have everything we need for the next 10 days. After lunch we will drive up to Abisko and sleep there before the walking start on Saturday morning. The forecast: rain!

Vacation

Since Zingo and I had Blessin and her puppies this summer we didn't really have any vacation, so, we have decided to go hiking in the mountains mid September. We will walk Kungsleden from Abisko to Nikkaluokta during 9 or 10 days, including 2 or 3 day extra for bad weather or climbing peaks.

I planned this trip 2 years ago but couldn't, and last summer Z was just a pup, but now we will finally go! Hopefully the weather will be nice, but most of all I hope for few other tourists, and lots of peace and quiet.

You can bet I will bring the camera, and if it works (might not be the best signal) I will try to update the blog with the mobile. Chances are it only works up on the mountains and not down in the valley.

Anyhow, I'll get back to you about this later. Planned day to start: Saturday 12/9

At home again

Remember I said we wouldn't drive all the way in one day again? Well, the weather made us one day late (had to paint before we went) so we had to. 985 km and this is definately the last time! Zingo however didn't seem to mind, she likes it. As long as she gets to tag along, and get food, water and walks she's happy with anything we do :)

We managed to get the door changed and the wall done too. All according to plan. In a couple off weeks we will go back to exchange 3 windows and insulate/change wood boarding on that wall as well.

But first vacation!!

Visiting dad

We have been in the car all day today and we just got to my dads place up north. Initially the plan was to drive half the distance and sleep, but we were delayed and had to drive all the way, over 980 km, and this is the last time! Soo boring.

Zingo and I will exchange a door in dads house that is really bad. While doing that we will add more insulation to the wall and put new wood boarding on the outside, in another style than before. Also the color of the house will be different. I figured dad would be conservative to my suggestions, but he instantly accepted both style and color change :) I'll see if I can get some photos of that later.

Since it is close to the woods we will take loong walks everyday. I also brought my mountainbike and I hope I can start training Z with that too during the week.

Totte visiting

This evening Lotta came by with Totte & Rebel. Totte will be staying here for a couple of days when she is working and Zingo never says no to a party friend! We all took a walk down the meadows and Z and T ran free. Good thing for Zingo to have a friend to play with. She and Rebel also hit it off really well!

After Lotta (and Rebel) went home they played for a while, and then they both lay down, Zingo in the bia and Totte by my feet under my desk. They're so cool :)

4 weeks today

Also last morning with the gang. And what a morning! Puppies slept all night long (if this is representative for the litter there are some 8 very happy puppy buyers out there) and when I woke up at 8 sharp it was because Bless and Zingo was playing. That means Blessin has gone into play mode, a state where she just awaits the pups to be big enough so she can play with them and every now and then discipline them.

I must say I have enjoyed these 4 weeks and even if Blessin does most of the work it has been very fun to be responsible for them. Unfortunately I decided from the start that i would NOT keep one of them, and I kind of regret that now, knowing them all. I also have a personal favorite (yes I'm allowed) that will be very hard not to steal. My work here is done and in a couple of hours I will drive them all to Kattis. I'll get back later with some pictures from that.

Worms

Nope, no worms here. But I did the first de-worming today. A little ball of paste to each of them. Reaction: Not like. At all. They shook their heads and was quite unhappy. Can it really taste that bad? Blessin also got her share, just on top of her food .. and she ate it like candy. I wish I had a video of them, but I might try to film it next time. However, I do have some other video clips that I will post in a day or two.

For a couple of days I've had the pups out on the floor, exploring the room. Today Zingo joined them for the first time.

All of them are very curious. However the red girl seems to be a little more brave than the rest. She worked the whole room all by herself.

Dry food + teeth

Time to introduce some standard dog food, soaked and mixed with minced meat to be as kind to the stomach as possible. Looks quite tasty huh? No? Pups liked it ALOT! Since I hand feed them I know very much about their teeth. They are growing, and they are SHARP!

Gibson got his first CAC!
Celma took her 3rd CAC and can now title herself Champion!

That makes her the 6th champion out of 7 puppies in the C-litter. However Ciwi is more interested in obedience and has finished her LP1, heading for LP2.

I know most of the litter personally, and besides all the nice results competing they are all very nice and friendly dogs. In my opinion .. a Blessin/Ghibli combination is what every breeder should strive for ;)

So, if you are one of the lucky ones that will get one of the pups I'm looking at right now .. you have something really special to look forward to.

For the first time they got to try something else than milk. Took some minced meat and mixed with hot water. They got really excited so their table manners failed a litte!

Time just flies and tomorrow the pups will be 3 weeks. It has been so much fun to watch them grow and develop, and I certainly do not regret putting off 5 weeks of my summer to this. Lately I have started to notice the different personalities of them all, and it was absolutely time to mark them up. So since Kattis came by today to visit the little ones after her vacation we decided to convert the 8-group to a team of individuals, and take some pictures of them.
